What we are looking for

  • Experience from customer-facing roles within tourism, hospitality, transport or similar shift-based operations.

  • Ability to lead and support a small team, give clear instructions and stay calm under pressure.

  • Strong communication skills in English.

  • German language skills are a strong plus, Norwegian and other languages are an advantage.

  • Service-minded, solution-oriented and comfortable making quick, practical decisions on site.

  • Reliable, punctual and able to work shifts, including weekends and peak-season periods.

Reporting line

The Shift Leader reports to the Destination Coordinator for daily operations and to the Operations Manager for broader operational matters.

Arbeidsoppgaver

About the role

As Shift Leader you are assisting the Coordinator with daily operations during your shifts at the destination. You work on site, make sure departures, staffing and guest flow follow the plan, and support both the Destination Coordinator and front-line staff. Your focus is safe, efficient operations and a positive guest experience throughout the shift.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the shift on site together with the Destination Coordinator, ensuring that departures, staffing and guest flow follow the daily plan.

  • Allocate tasks to staff on shift, follow up attendance and breaks, and be the first point of contact for operational questions.

  • Monitor service quality and safety on board and at stops, solve minor issues immediately and escalate to Destination Coordinator or Operations Manager when needed.

  • Handle guest enquiries and smaller complaints in a professional, service-minded way and ensure clear communication of information about routes and tickets.

  • Complete basic shift reporting (incidents, deviations) according to routines.

  • Support onboarding and training of new seasonal staff by demonstrating good practice and giving feedback during shifts.
