As we are preparing to commence commercial production in 2025, we are committed to excellence and continuous improvement of our processes and products. We are now looking for a high-performing Production Manager to join our team at the Morrow Cell Factory.

As the Production Manager you will supervise the production team that plans, manages and operates daily production operations, ensures efficient processes and maintains high-quality standards. This leadership role demands a strong focus on safety, driving productivity, optimizing resources, and achieving production targets within a dynamic fast paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, train, and mentor a team of production, utilities, maintenance engineers, production supervisors, and operators.
• Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide feedback and development opportunities to staff.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork within the production team.
• Create and execute production schedules and activities to meet demand and optimize workflow.
• Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to ensure efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Identify and resolve production issues promptly, making sure everyone is aware of any process changes and improvements.
• Ensure that all electrical and non-electrical utilities have high availability to support the production operations
• Plan preventive maintenance and ensure that equipment has low breakdown time and availability.
• Collaborate with process engineering and supply chain to improve production processes and reduce costs.
• Ensure customer orders are completed on time and to budget and that quality standards and targets are met.
• Collate and analyze data, putting together production and performance reports for both internal teams and customers.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Production Manager leading a team of engineers and operators in a manufacturing environment, preferably in battery production.
• Proficiency with Minitab or similar programs and strong data analysis skills
• Work experience and capability to work in a clean room production environment and low moisture dry room environment (<1.0% relative humidity)

Specific Skills/Abilities

• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and value stream analysis
• Good knowledge of quality systems and tools including PFMEA, SPC, IATF16949, 6Sigma, design of experiments and statistical analysis
• Motivated self-starter with excellent time management skills and strong data driven, process orientated approach
• Ability to commit to aggressive timelines and to deliver on those commitments
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English
