We are pleased to advertise a new job opening for an experienced Plant Engineering & Maintenance Manager to oversee the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of all plant systems—including production equipment, utilities, automation (SCADA, BMS), and material handling systems.
You will lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians across mechanical, electrical, and automation disciplines, while collaborating closely with Production, Process Engineering, Facility Management, IT, and HSE. Your leadership will ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable operations through strategic maintenance planning, rapid issue resolution, and data-driven improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a high-performing engineering and maintenance team.
- Drive preventive and corrective maintenance strategies to maximize uptime and OEE.
- Ensure reliable operation of critical utilities (dry rooms, HVAC, chillers, compressors, etc.).
- Collaborate on CAPEX projects to enhance plant capacity and reliability.
- Monitor energy use and support sustainability initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with HSE and regulatory standards.
- Maintain documentation, SOPs, and support 5S implementation.
- Degree in mechanical, electrical, or automation engineering.
- 5+ years in engineering or maintenance leadership, ideally in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of automation, utilities, and high-tech production systems.
- Proven leadership, problem-solving, and project execution skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on transparent and effective communication.
- Familiarity with clean/dry room operations, cooling systems, robotics/automation
- Understanding of Norwegian regulations and compliance requirements in industrial environments, including a strong focus on safety is preferrable
- Experience in battery manufacturing is highly desirable.
