Offshore Field Engineer – Piping

About the role
 

We are seeking a proactive Offshore Field Engineer – Piping to join our team. You will support production and fabrication teams, ensuring high-quality execution of piping works offshore. You will play a key role in interpreting drawings, preparing documentation, and coordinating with multiple disciplines to achieve project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Help production teams with interpretation of drawings, job basis, and technical documentation.
• Prepare work basis and documentation for site queries (SQ) in collaboration with fabrication engineering.
• Ensure the quality and timely delivery of work in accordance with project procedures and routines.
• Maintain close communication with the Field Installation Lead (FIL), Method Engineers, Fabrication Engineers, Package Responsible Engineers (PRE), and other relevant teams.
• Contribute to continual improvement initiatives.
• Follow up on fabrication and installation activities on site to ensure compliance with design and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field, relevant construction experience may compensate for formal education.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling tools.
• Familiarity with PIMS and PES modules.
• Active, solution-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Fluent in Norwegian, both written and spoken.
