Join the future of Sustainable Manufacturing at reTyre!

At reTyre, you’re not just joining a company — you’re joining a groundbreaking industrial journey.

We’ve built the world’s first sustainable tire factory, right in the heart of Ski (15 min outside Oslo), and we are now looking for a skilled Machine Operator to join the team and drive our mission forward. Our factory uses a revolutionary production method that makes it possible to replace traditional rubber in pneumatic tires with new, sustainable materials.

Our team is young, energetic, and united by a passion for innovation, sustainability, and success. Every day, we challenge the conventional and push the boundaries of what manufacturing can be.

The role

As a Machine Operator at reTyre, you will be at the center of daily operating in production. You’ll work closely with your colleagues in Manufacturing, and also our R&D engineering team who build and refine a new global standard for tire production.

We currently operate on a 2-shift schedule:

  • Morning: 08:00–16:00

  • Evening: 15:00–23:00

What You’ll Do

You will play a key role in operating the production line, including:

  • Operating and monitoring automated/mechanical equipment.

  • Performing start-up and shutdown routines.

  • Adjusting machines and troubleshooting.

  • Conducting quality control to ensure product accuracy and consistency.

  • Recording production data and maintaining equipment logs.

  • Optimizing production processes and adjusting machines for product changes.

  • Reporting deviations, conditions, and improvement opportunities.

  • Performing daily equipment maintenance.

  • Following HSE procedures.

You will also have the opportunity to get experience and contribute in major development initiatives in 2026 — automation, new machinery, process optimization, and ongoing improvement projects we have planned for the upcoming period.

Who We’re Looking For

You are experienced in a Manufacturing/Production and feel confident entering this role with your exsisting skillsets. You find it motivating to be a part of a Company's journey going from startup to scaleup, that offers a different kind of environment than other typical traditional manufacturing companies offer.

Your qualifications

  • Several years of experience working with automated or industrial machinery (e.g., injection molding, CNC, welding, cutting and others).

  • Handy and has experience with using a variety of handtools.

  • Hands-on experience from physical goods production.

  • Vocational certificate in CNC, mechanics, industrial mechanics, polymer/thermoplastics — or equivalent experience.

  • Ability to communicate clearly in English (written and spoken) as this is our primary work language.

  • Good IT literacy, familiar with use of computers, control panels on machinery and production software.

Experience matters — but so does attitude and other relevant skillsets.

Your personal qualities

  • Proactive and solution-oriented.

  • Motivated by innovation and fast-changing environments, all a part of the journey going from a startup to scaleup.

  • Flexible and comfortable working in a modern, small-team environment with real influence.

  • Organized, structured, and safety-minded.

  • Presise and good work ethics.

  • Independent and self driven.

  • A positive team player who contributes to a great work culture.
