We are looking for a Data Manager e-Navigation to join our innovative Data Hub department at NAVTOR.

This is a unique opportunity to unite data expertise with maritime innovation — helping shape a safer, more sustainable, and digitally empowered future for global e-navigation.

What you'll do:

  • Actively contribute to NAVTOR's, and the Datahub team's, operations and administrative responsibilities.

  • Develop and execute projects related to data services, including harvesting, production, and integration.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to define and prioritize data and service requirements.

  • Establish integrations with external systems, data owners, and providers.

  • Design, maintain, and optimize production workflows, ensuring scalability and efficiency.

  • Partner with Engineering and Product teams to implement enabling technologies and promote data monetization and literacy.

  • Optimize data workflows to ensure efficient harvesting, production, and distribution across NAVTOR.

  • Drive innovation by contributing to the development of new production lines, products, and services.

  • Lead projects and take ownership of professional tasks, from concept to completion..

  • Work closely with other NAVTOR teams, including Business Units (BUs), Product Managers (PMs), PMO, R&D, and BackOffice.

What we're looking for:

  • Relevant higher education at the bachelor’s or master’s level, preferably in nautical science, marine/naval studies, maritime law and regulations, cartography, or related fields. Relevant work experience will be emphasized.

  • Proven expertise in maritime data requirements and ecosystems.

  • Certificates and documented experience are considered a strong advantage.

  • Solid knowledge of maritime standards, services, and governing bodies (e.g., IMO/MSC, IMO/MEPC, ISPS, SOLAS, STCW, IHO, etc.).

  • Demonstrated understanding of navigational requirements, methods, and formats (e.g., IHO S-57, IHO S-100, GNSS, IMO and other relevant standards).

  • Good domain knowledge of the e-Navigation business landscape.

  • Familiarity with Admiralty products and services, including partnership agreements.

  • Strong understanding of the maritime data value chain, including key providers and industry standards.

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and strategic execution skills.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.

  • Solid grasp of the full data lifecycle—from ingestion and transformation to integration and end-user delivery.
