Restaurant Manager – Hands-On and Ambitious

We are looking for an engaged and ambitious Restaurant Manager who wants to take a key role in a dynamic and high-paced restaurant.

This is a role for someone who thrives on being present in the restaurant, leading the team on the floor, while also handling the essential administrative tasks that ensure seamless operations. About 80% of the position will be operational, while 20% is administrative.

Evenings, weekends, and a high level of presence are expected – this is not an office role, but one for a leader who loves the pulse of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full responsibility for front of house and the daily operations of the restaurant.
• Supervision and leadership of waiters and runners, with a strong focus on top-class service.
• Handling of bookings and guest relations, ensuring smooth shifts and excellent guest experiences.
• Creating a positive and motivating work environment for the team.
• Close collaboration with the General Manager, Bar Manager, and Head Chef to ensure holistic operations.
• Balance between operational presence on the floor and administrative tasks (staffing, shift planning, organization).

Qualifications:

• Experience from the restaurant industry with solid understanding of operations.
• Enjoys working hands-on in daily operations while also managing administrative responsibilities.
• A clear and present leader who motivates and inspires the team.
• Strong skills in planning, scheduling, and staffing.
• Flexible, solution-oriented, and thrives under high pace.
• Passionate about the restaurant industry, with strong ambitions to grow further in a leadership role.
• Excellent communication skills. Speaking a Scandinavian language is a plus, not a must.
• Must live in the Oslo area, we do not provide accommodation.
