Chartering Manager

DeepOcean

As Chartering Manager, you will work with the DeepOcean fleet of offshore vessels, including follow-up of chartered vessels, owned vessels, and monitoring the market for potential future additions to the fleet. SMD is a global department supporting all regions in DeepOcean. The position can be based in one of our offices in Aberdeen, Stavanger, Oslo, Bergen, or Haugesund.
 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow up and ensure ship owners deliver on their contracts to DeepOcean.
  • Ensuring DeepOcean has the right ships in their fleet together with the wider SMD team.
  • Stay in close touch with the market for subsea- and walk to work (W2W) vessels and participate in charter negotiations.
  • Assist department and projects with vessel assurance.
  • Support projects with any spot charter needs.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years relevant in industry related role.
  • Knowledge of Offshore Subsea Vessels and W2W vessels and their ways of working.
  • Knowledge of marine rules and regulations.
  • Charter experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of typical charter contracts used in the offshore industry.

  • Good team player both internally and externally. It is key to be able to have constructive dialogue both with external partners like vessel owners and brokers but equally important to be able to do same internally with different regions and projects.
  • Ability to effectively organize and manage time to accomplish tasks and achieve goals.
  • Good verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to proactively and independently take action to achieve goals, identify opportunities, and solve challenges.
  • Attention to detail.
