For client we are seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Designer(Lead designer) to join our team

As a Lead Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed structural steel models using TEKLA Structures

software. You will work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure accurate and high-quality

designs that meet project specifications and industry standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural steel design and be proficient in using TEKLA software.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed structural steel models using TEKLA Structures software, including beams
  • columns, connections, and other components
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of design models, ensuring compliance with project standards, codes, and regulations
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, fabricators, and contractors
  • Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, sketches, and specifications
  • Perform clash detection and resolve design conflicts through collaboration and problem-solving
  • Generate accurate and comprehensive fabrication drawings, erection plans, and other construction documents
  • Provide support during the construction phase, addressing design-related queries and providing solutions as needed
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and new features in TEKLA software, and incorporate them into the design process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in civil or structural engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a TEKLA Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of completed projects
  • Proficient in using TEKLA Structures software for structural steel detailing and design
  • Solid understanding of structural steel design principles, codes, and standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with other BIM software and related tools is a plus.
